Homework Club: The National President of the St. Vincent de Paul which funds our Homework Club visited during February and was very impressed at how well the girls were able to express how glad they are that there is a homework Club in our school(see Miscellaneous - School Events)

Golf: Ladies from the Munster Ladies Union visited during February and did Golfing activities with 3rd-6th classes. We had great fun practising our swing on the Wii and aiming at targets by pitching and putting!(see Sporting Activities- School Events)

Carol Service: We hope you enjoyed the night! We were certainly very proud of all of our wonderful singers, actors, and musicians( see School Events- Carol Service)

Vincent de Paul Hampers: Many thanks to all who contributed to the enormous collection of food gathered before Christmas. This food has been distributed to the needy of our town by Vincent de Paul Volunteers(see Charity Events & Fundraising Activities)

Parents Association Annual Church Gate Collection:The Parents Association wish to express their thanks to all who contributed or manned collection points. €1990 was collected which will be used to fund the many activities of the Parents Association in the school.

Infant Nativity Plays: What fantastic colourful spectacles our Junior and Senior Infant Nativity performances were! Wel done to all the children and teachers and many thanks to the parents, grandparents, minders etc. who turned out in force to watch the children perform(See School Events- Infant Dramas) 

Library Development: Many thanks to the Parents' Association who made a further donation of €2500 towards our Library. They have given us €5000 towards this project in the last few months. Many thanks! Anthony has spent the last number of weeks building and painting the shelving. A Library Scanning System, a book covering machine and flooring have been purchased. The Library is beginning to take shape!(See School Events- Reading Activities)

Calling all Volunteers! We are looking for adult help with school acticvitiesincluding Shared Reading, Sewing, Knitting, Embroidery, School Library,School Garden, School Tours & Trails, Computer Classes etc.Please contact Penny.

"Breakfast for Childline" : We raised €800 and had a deliciousbreakfast in our Pyjamas! (Photos in School Events)

The Reading Tree: We read 1876 books and put a leave on the tree for every book!  It was blooming.(Photos in School Events)

Halloween Hooley: Well done to the Sixth Class Organisers who raised €1690 for Shellikybookie and the School Library during this day of "Spooky" fun! (Lots of photos in School Events)

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal: 234 shoe boxes were collected! What a fantastic achievement! Many many thanks to all the parents and children who went to such trouble!( Photos in School Events)

Football: Well done to our football teams who have qualified for a South County Final & Semi- final 

Science Week was held during November. We enjoyed doing the experiments and displaying them for all the classes in the hall on Thursday. We also had a visit from some engineers form Merck who enthused us about science.

Abbott family Science Night: 3rd and 4th Classes had a fantastic night of scientific fun with their families on Wed. 18th Nov. Thank you to all the Abbott employees and Ms. Berrigan for organising the event.
